Take the next step with Outreach as a Physician Assistant. In this role, you will provide medical and psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and ongoing clinical care to individuals served across Outreach Development Corporation’s continuum of behavioral health and substance use disorder programs. The PA works collaboratively with the Medical Directors, program leadership, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure high-quality, integrated, and person-centered care.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations; Provide initial physical examinations and ongoing medical follow-up.
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage medications.
- Collaborate with Medical Directors, psychiatrists, and other prescribing providers regarding diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment team meetings, and clinical consultations and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including diagnoses, progress notes, medication records, and treatment plan reviews, within the agency’s electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with I-STOP, DEA, OASAS, OMH, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
We require:
- NYS Licensed Physician Assistant registered NYS DOE.
- Minimum 1 year of education, training and/or experience in alcoholism, substance use or chemical dependence services.
- Malpractice insurance (your own).
