Description
Glenville Ambulance, a veteran owned company, is seeking a reliable and experienced EMT to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing immediate patient care at our stand-by events as well as safely transferring non-emergency patients to appointments or other destinations in a safe manner in the Adams, Franklin and York County areas.
This is an opportunity for individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Full-time and Part-time positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to hospital and non-hospital sites.
- Provided high-quality emergency care during EMS stand-by events.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, PA state EMS protocols, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient care to our patients
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and dispatchers to ensure smooth transportation operations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate leadership and complete necessary documentation
Requirements
Experience:
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred but not required
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug test
- Pennsylvania State EMT certification (or able to obtain through reciprocity) prior to start date and a valid CPR card
- Ability to obtain EVOC (emergency vehicle operators' course) certification within 3 months (training is provided)
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and colleagues
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when moving patients
