Company Overview
Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit and governed by a Board of Directors.
Advanced Medical Transport is the only Illinois ambulance provider to become nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). Accreditation means that AMT is committed to providing the communities we serve the highest level of service excellence and clinically effective care. CAAS awarded to AMT during our first application and review a “Perfect Score” in 2002, followed by successful reaccreditation in 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2017.
Company History
Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) was formed in 1991 as a community-based Not-For-Profit provider of emergency and non-emergency EMS response in central Illinois.
AMT has grown to employ over 300 people serving in seven markets.
Our comprehensive team of healthcare professionals combine outstanding healthcare transportation with pre-hospital medical care that can make a profound difference for the people and communities we serve.

Much more than an ambulance service provider - AMT is a vital community partner, deeply invested in the betterment of the people we serve. While our paramedic ambulances earned their stripes responding to hundreds of thousands of emergencies, AMT has evolved and grown as a team dedicated to a comprehensive set of community healthcare initiatives.
