Located in the beautiful San Juan River Valley in northwest New Mexico, San Juan Regional Medical Center is a 194 bed, level III trauma center including state-of-the-art operating suites, OB Suites, and private patient rooms many with fresh air balconies. Due to our geographical location we also handle may Level II and Level I traumas. A tax-exempt, community hospital, San Juan Regional Medical Center serves the Four Corners area of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. The San Juan Regional Medical Center network includes a 14 bed rehabilitation hospital, San Juan Health Partners, a multi-specialty clinic and urgent care service, outpatient rehabilitation center, outpatient diagnostic center, wound care center, ground and air emergency service and transport, a free standing cancer center and a on-site child care center. Farmington's population is approximately 50,000 with a service area of 350,000. Farmington is the industrial and retail draw center in the Four Corners, and is the largest metropolitan area within 180 miles.

The community sits in the shadow of the San Juan Mountains, visible fifty miles away across the state line in Colorado. Visitors and residents alike participate in snow skiing, golfing, camping, hiking, rafting, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, year-round tennis, team sports and sauntering along the river bank on a fall day. At an altitude of 5,394 feet and average annual rainfall of about 8 inches, sunshine is abundant (an average of 273 sunny days per year), weather is near perfect, and sunsets are spectacular.
