Advanced Paramedic | EMT-Paramedic Certified We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Advanced Paramedic to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. This vital role involves delivering immediate medical care in emergency situations, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing critical care and patient assessments on-site. Administer medications, including intravenous drugs, and perform advanced life support interventions as needed. Safely transport patients while continuously monitoring vital signs and condition during transit. Maintain ambulance equipment and supplies to ensure readiness and functionality. Accurately document all patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Support emergency department staff by assisting with patient care and participating in emergency response events such as Code Blue and Rapid Response. Education and Certifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Current EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) or Advanced EMT (AEMT) certification. Paramedic certification valid within the state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications per American Heart Association standards. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certifications, or completion within one year of hire. Valid and unrestricted driver's license appropriate for the region. Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire. Experience and Requirements: Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends with on-call responsibilities. Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and training mandates.
