Description
The EMS Director is responsible for the administration, planning, coordination and supervision of the city's Emergency Medical Services department while also serving as a licensed paramedic assigned to the regular duty schedule. The Director ensures delivery of high-quality emergency medical care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, training, budgeting and operational readiness. This position combines administrative leadership responsibilities with scheduled field response duties.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred in health care related field. Must be a licensed paramedic. Preferred minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in EMS. Must be able to lift 100# with assistance. Ability to work nights, weekends, holiday and extended shifts. Knowledge of EMS administration, budgeting, scheduling and regulatory compliance.
