The Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) team is expanding and seeking dynamic, board-certified or board-eligible PEM physicians to support system-wide growth and an exciting trajectory in pediatric emergency care.
This is a unique opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, collaborative pediatric emergency department with immediate access to pediatric subspecialists, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources, and a strong academic infrastructure. The role is intentionally designed to balance clinical excellence, education, and leadership development, tailored to your individual career goals.
Clinical Environment Snapshot
- High-volume pediatric ED within an integrated, quaternary-care system
- Robust APP and nursing support
- Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty coverage
- Active development of an upcoming Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care to pediatric patients
- Supervise and educate residents, fellows, and medical students
- Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice providers, and subspecialty teams
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and operational initiatives
Growth & Leadership Opportunities (Optional, Based on Interest)
Associate Program Director (APD), PEM Fellowship
- Contribute to curriculum development, fellow mentorship, and ACGME-accredited program leadership
- Engage in scholarly activity and educational innovation
- Shape the future of PEM training within a nationally respected fellowship
Site Director – Upcoming Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Play a foundational role in the development and operational leadership of a new trauma center
- Partner with institutional leaders on clinical workflows, staffing models, and quality metrics
- Lead program growth aligned with ACS verification standards

Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Eligible for Ohio medical licensure
- Interest in education, leadership, or program development preferred

This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
